City of Bellingham Film Permits

Contact Doug at the City of Bellingham Permit Office regarding any questions related to filming in Bellingham.
360-778-7905
permits@cob.org

The City of Bellingham does not have an official film permit. Depending on the impact you will have you might need to fill out an special events permit. In order to do this your production must have insurance. If you are a small film crew and will not be obstructing the flow of foot traffic or street traffic you will most likely not need a permit. You should always check with the permit office first. See their website for more details and if your production is in need of a permit.

Port of Bellingham Film Permits

360-676-2500.

  • $300 4 hours of filming
  • $120 1.5 hours of filming
*This does not include additional building or park rental fees, which may be charged at the regular port rates charged for private event space rental.
To film on the Port of Bellingham Property you will need to get a Film or Photography Production License. You will also need proof of production insurance.
